Getting Started

CobaltConnect has many different features for you to consider all at once, but it doesn't have to be complicated. The purpose of CobaltConnect is to make running your business even easier. This page will help introduce you to the basics of CobaltConnect so that you can take your store to the next level.

Dashboard

You can find all your sales information in the sales report section under the Reporting Module. Please note that this section only shows information from the previous workday and after. The sales from your current workday will be updated at the end of your business day.

My Products

If any products have red lettering in the My Products section then that means there is an error with their information. Any corrections to product errors can be done in the Product Errors section of your Navigation Dashboard.

Dual Items is where other distributors selling the same product are stored. By storing them here it saves you from having to scroll through dozens of the same items. This section also helps the Price Comparison module find you lower prices.

You can switch your distributors for any current purchase orders in the Price Comparison Module, however this only changes the distributor for that order. If you would like to change that product's distributor for the foreseeable future go into the Dual Products Tab of the My Products Module. From here select the product you would like to change distributors for and then edit. Then you can pick your new distributor from the "Select Default Distributor" dropdown. 

In your manual, you might have read references to a "Post Off" and a "Discount" column, but you do not see both in CobaltConnect. The column you see depends on the state your business resides in. You will see the Post Off Column if your business resides in the state of Connecticut and Discounts if you are in New Jersey. The difference between the two is that Post Off shows you the price change for a product occurring next month and Discounts shows you any possible discounts the distributor is offering for the current month. 

Purchase Orders

To see the status of any submitted purchase orders, head into the Purchase Order section in your Navigation Bar. From there, select the Purchase Order you are inquiring about. If there is any information on the status of the order you can find it at the bottom of the page. You can also find any updates in the Notifications / Alert section on your Dashboard.

Beverage Journal

You can switch your distributors for any current purchase orders in the Price Comparison Module, however this only changes the distributor for that order. If you would like to change that product's distributor for the foreseeable future go into the Dual Products Tab of the My Products Module. Products that are highlighted red in the Beverage Journal are an indicator that they have already been added to the My Products Module.
